Today, students were encourages to think of ALL the equivalent fractions for 8 different original fractions. We have 103 students in total, so in the end it is expected that we have 103 different equivalent fractions on our sheets. With this information we will be challenging our peers in Grade 7 English to add to these sheets to see how many equivalent fractions we can come up with as a school! This was a great review of Grade 6 outcomes before we start into the nitty gritty of fractions in grade 7! We also reviewed improper fractions and mixed fractions today and students are much more comfortable with these outcomes moving forward. Next up, ordering them on a number line!
