Today in Math, student reviewed and practiced the distributive principle (multiplying from left to right) in mental math. Students can practice this strategy over the week before next Thursday's quiz. Here are a few examples:
3 = 72 (3 x 70 & 3 x 2 = 210 + 6 = 216)
2 x 345
3 x 1206
3 x 2,7
4 x 4.04
We also practiced calculating area of a parallelogram. Tomorrow, we will be practicing calculating area of a circle and wrapping up our review and practice on Monday before a final small quiz on Tuesday. Several students will be absent tomorrow, so make sure you are practicing what you know over the weekend! :)
