It was a good day for an introduction to percentages!

Today we talked about how to find 50%, 25%, and 10% of a number. Students were incredibly aware of how to find half and half again. So they used the halving strategy for 50% and the double half strategy for 25%. There were a handful of students who already knew the trick to finding 10% of a number but not many. They were pleased to see how easy it was! We are now confident we can find all of the above PLUS 75% of a number, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%!
